Accountability

There is not enough accountability
In the world today
That may explain why so many people
Have lost their way

It is time to stand up
And do what is right
It is everyone’s province
To bring an end to this plight

It has been said that the means
Can be justified by the end
From this way of thinking
We need to transcend

Do not let rationalization
Be a distraction
There are consequences
For each and every action

Stop and think before you act
This is the challenge I propose
Take responsibility for your actions
Rid the world of one of its woes
