A Shakesperean Sonnet.Prompt-He who wonders discovers that this in itself is wonder. |
| A Shakesperean Sonnet written for the "Invalid Item" contest. You found me here, in this sinful place, Took me into your arms and held me tight. My awful past you erased with sweet grace Led me to the well, filled my soul with light. I did not deserve to drink from the well My sins too many, salvation too late, And still, sweet water flowed freely to swell My heart to bursting upon my clean slate. Your love flowed forth from an eternal source, Filled me, the vessel, completely and then Spilling over the edge, ran a new course, Renewing my soul again and again. My Lord, you showed it to me and I know, Surely, there are others that I can show. . |
