In Search Of…

Eager is the heart
that leaps to opportunity.

Subtle are the eyes
that hide from the
heart’s demands.

Words spoken in the boldness
of adventure
lead down a path less traveled.

Lustful be the body
that craves joyful destruction.
A heart on the run
seeking an unseen home.

Consenting to impair a bond
as one together,
where eyes see into souls
and flesh becomes molten.

When a meeting takes place
a heart longs for freedom.

The freedom to be bound by
more than the physical thirst
I seem to be
drowning in.

It isn’t the man who brings
joy to the flesh
and leaves the heart
in agony.

It is something deep inside
the dark halls of time.
Memories entrenched in the soul.
Just waiting to be set
free.

I wander the halls in the
darkness of time,
where the lights have
dimmed to twilight.

Alone I travel the
hallways there
in search of a door
I can open.
