When there are stuff that are best unspoken, One can find love in the company of Writing
A pair of eyes in the shade of dark brown
Behind which inner secrets hide and drown
Looked on with jealousy at the mother and daughter
Walking down the street with smiles and laughter
The eyes closed in deep thought
As they ponder the pain their own mother brought
Years of abuse, both physical and verbal
Red lines of hatred marked the eyeballs

Desperation for understanding elsewhere
Made them feeble and gullible
After years of wear and tear
They still did not grasp the need to be skeptical
Believing every word and touch placed upon them
Pain becomes frequent and inevitable
They remain alone to this day
Hoping to one day find someone dependable
