It all fades away
and there's nothing we can do
as the colours fade to grey
there's nothing left here
but empty and broken hearts
All our love was balanced
on a thin feeble wire
As the storms came in
we hold on to each other
But it's never enough
It could never make you love me
so as I lie awake
crying the tears out of this space
and I'm holding on tightly
to the shards of a mask
that covered up the surface
