A dark room glows with an unknown furry,
Ignorance laps at the mind like the sea.
The never ceasing sense that tempts us to worry
feeds the mind with one notion, to hurry.
And, naturally, ‘twas replaced with another, flee
In an ignorant attempt to escape from me.
While heart calls for stop in a uniform plea,
completely absorbed with the longing to see.
And I’ll laugh, “my love, thine eyes do lie,
a moment of blind will not cause you to die”
Yet your breath is harsh and your fingers twitch
massaging the walls in search of a switch,
And then, like fear, I whisper anon,
“and who can turn the light back on?”
