Impaled Dewdrop

From the distance, I take a view of the darkness
I stand and watch, I watch all of the fight
That goes on in this night
I stand on the outside looking in

Here I stand again, not alone this time
Not in the ruins, not again will I cross that line
By my side he stands
With his legion of angels at his hands

God is with us shedding His light
So that we will not be alone in the night
I feel his strength and glory
Unraveling before me is the most amazing story

The story from His eyes

A story without lies
A story of truth, and a story with power
As I feel his strength being showered
And as I feel all of His glory I feel a hand touch mine

That was my sign

Together we moved forward
And as I looked into his eyes my heart soared
For the first time in my life, my heart had something more
The thing I had prayed for

I had love

Something I had never truly known of
Until in this moment, before everything was spent
My life, my heart, my soul
Everything had taken a toll

Now as I stood fully restored
My heart soared, and I was no longer alone
My heart had finally found a home
A warm and happy place

Somewhere where my heart could feel safe

In my hands, I held his heart
Something I wish I could have done from the start
I don't like to see pain written upon his face
No way, no how, will it feel right

To see in this day, night
So I do my best to try to heal
Before him on my knees I kneel
With tears in my eyes

And I see into the depths where his soul lies

In those eyes I see the dewdrop impaled and golden where it lies
And I see that ray of hope, hoping and praying that it never goes
And as I stare into these eyes I fall, gladly I fall risking it all
All in the name of an amazing thing, known as love
