the birds are still chirping
aware of the certainty
that this Suckers been had

the thoughts shimmer brightly
they're glinting off something
the dog is still snarling
and this Suckers been had

looking for credit
a front, or a loan
from a world not forthcoming
so the Suckers been had

got by the pot
hole, bump in the road
to fall in the crevace
and the Suckers been had

the stillness is moving
a fast train to nowhere
the nothing flies by me
and the Suckers been had

the one who's in charge
of this introspection
is ascending a crevace
cause' the Suckers been had
