A humble but emotionally driven outburst on the by-products of modern economy. |
| Oppression of Progression Rows of houses press against fences- obeying the boundaries of their sidewalk prisons. Such obedience and alliance they have towards those layers of rock and tar suppression. As pock-marked as they have become, still they maintain their dictatorship- able to detour the roots of their captive trees- populate, traffic, pollute, and defile. Yellow line adorned, they scar North, South, East, West. They build upon an insatiable dependance of which we all fall victim. A drug of necessity - a vehicle for an impatient and hormone injected progression which hides itself under political and economic glitter. This ideal is blushed, tanned, eye-lined, and TV ready. Deceitfully pitched then mindlessly purchased. -Susanna Hoone |
