Hello Me, It's Me Again

Hello me, it’s me again,
We need to talk now, my dearest friend,
I’m starting to disagree with everything you say,
I want to do things in my own way,
You can’t push me around or tell me what to do,
It doesn’t matter what you say, I’m not listening to you,

Hello me, it’s me again,
You’re pissing me off my good ol’ friend,
You disagree because you know I’m right,
I come out when you’re filled with fright,
I’m the alter ego, I take off where you drop,
When you get back up that’s when I’ll stop,

But you know that I can handle what I do,
When I trip or mess up you jump in too soon,
So are you insisting that you need me no more?
So what the hell are we still fighting for?
I’m not saying that I want you gone,
I’m just not sure who’s side you’re on,
I’m on your side you fool, I’m you’re second mind,
I happen to think you’re just far too kind,
You let people step all over you when you fall,
Do you have any dignity or pride left at all?

Every man has pride and I’ve got mine,
It just so happens that I am kind,
I like to be nice and help people to their feet,
That assures help for me when I’m beat,
Well that’s peachy and nice with everything between,
Nice is good but sometimes you’ve got to be mean,
I’m going to take care of you like a little brother,
Help you with what you need, we need only each other.

But doesn’t it get lonely in there while the other’s in control,
You’re a pigment of my mind, currently you’re a soul,
And in good time when I’m not in so good of shape,
I’ll open my heart and I suppose you can escape,
You suppose nothing this body’s mine, too.
I’ll free myself whenever I want to.
And we’ll be friends; we’ll help each other out,
When ever you need me, just give me a shout.
