Flowers, oh the flowers
Tulips rather than red roses
But hydrangeas-Desired sent.

Held or thrown; like gold
They will still blossom.
Flowers, oh the flowers

Now, dead leader’s mask blue bulbs
They throw their flowers
But cancer-Desired cent.

Cultivators farm fields of progression
Driven by slain horses
Flowers, oh the flowers

And the youth’s bones;
Marrow to mushrooms
But mycelia-Desired growth

Boughs and bark/Shutes and sprouts
And when the flowers grow
Flowers, oh the flowers
But life-Desired sent.
