A Friend to Me

Competition poem, I didn't win...but I changed LIVES!!!

Thru out all my years
I have never learned to love;
I had never shed a tear
For the loss of someone.

True to me you are,
A friend thru and thru;
I will never love another
As much as I love you.

You always find the words
To ease away the pain;
To guide me thru the dark
And set me on my way.

There is no other
That this feeling comes from;
You are my equal,
And will always be loved.
