Afternoon

Walking down a lonely street
like a stranger I once knew
wishing all my troubles away
into the wind that blew
my thoughts clouding into
a rainbow of its kind
taking up the dark and shady
corners of my mind
and if by chance this afternoon
so much a sorrow’s child
I’ll create an enlightenment
drifting all the while
