Manatee

A blue-gray giant
With an adorable face
Swimming softly and slowly
In a sunny, warm place.

A creature of mystery
Not often seen
They hide in the water
Away from the gleam

They're lovable and friendly
And have their own place
But if you get in the water
They'll be right in your face.

Their fins will be flapping
With happiness and glee
For they love people
Which they often do see

They'll hold and hug you
Like a giant of might
But not to worry
They do not bite

For this loving creature
Wants to be loved and free

It is all that is asked of a MANATEE.
