Struggle of passiveness and passion in writing.
Aaargh!-Passivity rejected

The comments made of pieces I’ve sculpted,
Sting like lemon in a wound.
Shall I retort in anger controlled,
Perhaps of this quality increases?

I find myself led by temptation,
To rest in self and passive write,
Another pacifying poem,
To opiate the masses so!

Those have their place one must admit,
But be careful not to be admitted,
As complacency is welcomed,
It’s also a double-edged sword.

Without criticism nothing would change,
With it’s wise incision anger flares,
With just the right cut, or received wisely,
It opens up a desirable pandora’s box.

For this is painful, yet I am grateful,
Rotton jerks, how dare he, but he has a point,
I seethe yet channel it into focus,
Laser beam cuts with precision and raucous joy.

I’m energized, years younger at heart,
Heart on sleeve, productively I pound the keys,
Rapid, wrap the hatred, turn it into fiery blows.
Heart not guarded-daggers out, stabbing deftly.

My anger reached, yet in control, my keystrokes slow,
As burst of adrenaline winds down, the flood controlled,
I note this exercise for times when foggy mornings rule,
And mental sloth is ruler.

Thank you.
