I wrote this when I was institutionalized at age 15.
Here in a room I lye alone,
with noone to whom I belong.
A lonely life is what I've lead,
and now each day I pray to be dead.
Left alone in a shadow of a doubt,
wonder what lerks in the dark all about.
Too scared at night to fall asleep,
too sick each day to try and eat.
To be left alone with noone at all,
knowing in my heart that God will never call.
Because I had to play Satans little game,
but he beat me this time and my soul he'll claim.
To die or to live is all the same,
to my family I cannot return, for I've brought them to shame.
Oh God, I beg you with the simplest cry,
take me now Lord...let me die.
