I put the earphones in my ears, turning the music up full blast

I try to silence the thoughts of you running through my mind as the music slowly deafens me.

I withdraw from the world, in search of an escape from the chaos of my emotions.

Slowly, oh so slowly, nobody notices as I become numb.

Fading away within my mind, trapping myself within what once was my refuge from the pain life brings.
