Just when I thought my life ran out of light,
I decide to take a walk on a frisky night.
I look up to the clear sky to stare at the full moon,
And ask who I could hold on too!
Instinctively, I know I have to hold on to myself,
Since who would be there for me at 3am?
I am always there for others,
But who will be my supporter?
I have the words to express my feelings,
But I don’t have ears available to listen!
I have tears in my eyes ready for a long cry,
But I am looking through thin air with no one to confide!
The full moon lights up my street,
And gives the warmth my body needs.
Slowly, I feel my mind regenerating,
Allowing myself to think straight!
I look up to the clear sky to thank the full moon,
For the light and warmth given to me on a frisky night!
I smile knowing that things will be fine,
And mostly because I’m glad I got to hold on to myself!
During my walk I was depending on other people,
But the full moon forced me to listen to myself!
I got stronger and I was ready to jump more barriers!
I am glad I went for a walk because it made me feel a lot better!
