Romance, in love, lighter than air. |
"Flying in love" - Layne It's much like falling in love, i mused as i wrote so high above; for one to fly is to exchange the verb "excite." In both, such a thrilling view surrounds you all the while: Penetrable columns of whispy, gentle white. Pink gleamy glows that adorn the downy piles. Baby-blue's the backdrop of this devine view, A cumulous sea below me as I drift in thoughts of you. I can see eternity In looking down on the sky; I cannot see anything but bliss as it swiftly passes by. Higher up you take me and the better grows the view, It seems frozen in magnificence In between these strangers two. The golden sun is sinking Behind me in the sky, Sweetly skimming the soft display, Imprinting elegance in my mind. "Goodbye" kisses the blessed sun As I soar rappidly into sacred night. And, though I sleep not now, I dream of you, Unexpecting and thrilled as we fly. And I pray you're safe And anticipate Your heavenly smiles in my mind's eye. The rosy whisps they drift away now, Behind, beyond, below, And I hope that as I dream tonight I'll be flying into your arms. The ground is too far below me To keep me stable here. But so are the clouds too gentle To keep me safely cradled dear. Unstable but secure I fall on anyway Flying high away from earth, Falling in love with you, Light and floating from all heavy trouble's girth. I'm free from all the pressures Drifting above this pink-blue twighlight sea, And I wonder as I gaze again If you're thinking of me. It's beautiful, this falling up, Both inside and above This dreamy cumulous sea. And I also ponder If you're falling in love with me. Now a dark lavendar sea's below me, A gauzy starry sky above; A sleeping sun is dark behind me, As I fly on in exciting love. |
