A fantasy tale of friends facing off against foe. |

This story was written as part of National Novel Writing Month in the year 2005. The characters come from a roleplay that I did with one other person, but the idea and plot and most of the characters belong to me. I took artistic liberties with my partner's character, Kray, in order to make the story mine. The novel was written as a sort of back history to the roleplay we were involved in. The idea is that there were Elders who created a parallel universe of sorts and then created people to live in their world. When they grew bored of that, they integrated them into the existing universe to see what fun could be had. There is some religion, some science fiction, and a lot of fantasy in this story. What I have posted is only the first 50,000 words or so, what I needed in order to win. I meant to finish the novel at that and not continue, but it turns out I had a lot more to say. However, I write everything out longhand, and so the rest of this has yet to be typed up. Perhaps someday I will post the rest here to be read. For now, 31 chapters ought to keep a reader busy! |
