Making me late, the Drill Sergeant yells.  All of us caught in Echo Company hell.
First day, like weeks, in Drill Sergeant jail.  Old barracks, upstairs and down, a long company street, no walking - run up and down.  No past, no future . . . our present made real - bending our minds.  It all seems surreal.
