Shoes Untied

Crossing the world with my shoes untied
living everyday as beautiful lie.
Sitting here wondering can I dream a different dream,
or will he have his way and go to extremes?

With every check that I earn
I don't get 2 steps
and my laces are caught in the trap.

Time to wake up
