A poem about nothing in particular. Would love to hear what everyone got out of it.
The beating heart races, thumping, thumping,
Like a pulsating thunderbolt zapping through the windless nights
I am now finally in an existential state,
An alternate realm construed totally amidst my wandering mind.

The music is now softly playing in the background,
Each note audibly resonating throughout my mind,
Like the ethereal splashing of water on pavement,
Plunging itself into the deepest orifices of the unsuspecting victim.

I finally attain pure euphoria,
That familiar numbing runs through my arms,
I contemplate their very existence with my deep reflections,
As the young kids lust for a quick high with their PCP coated lollipops.

A powerful voice hollers from deep within my very being,
Bellowing me to obey it as a snake obeys the snake charmer,
Yet my reasoning mind is screaming at the top of her lungs,
Like a cheap whore moaning in ecstasy after spending another night performing Cupid’s Erotic Love Dance.

It is beginning to get hard to fight it off,
That villainous sobering spirit inching ever so close,
It slithers along through the effervescent air,
Embellishing itself with the cries of those not yet ready to leave.

My soul waits for the eminent reality to come crashing down,
Like the white hot steel blade of that ancient Katana Blade,
That so majestically sliced through the very oppressors of Society,
Leaving them writhing and screaming in pain since their limbs now belonged to Her.

But just then I ponder the most unequivocal idea,
So clever and ingenious in it’s very nature,
I can not resist its Angelic voice as it whispers those welcoming instructions,
Culminating with the Emerald Jewel brightening my very soul.
