Gangster Room

A letter had come in the mail yesterday. A frail note had arrived at our doorstep and we presumed it had come from our rivals the ‘Gordens’. We opened it with care and were surprised at the delicate writing and floral fringe that surrounded the peach paper. The only writing on the sheet was in tiny pink handwriting. it said “Nighy Hall; 22nd, at 10pm”. We were all very intrigued at this message but decided against our better judgment to attend this meeting.

22nd of August, 9:50pm at Nighy Hall; we all were present, as requested, but now were becoming nervous and having second thoughts about this whole thing. Bobby was complaining and actually got up to leave when a gunshot rang out in the dark. We reacted naturally and pulled out our guns immediately. At the first movement we shot and when we heard a thump of the fallen body on the marble floor I rose from the wooden seats and went to investigate the matter. I turned the corner and there before me was my little brother. He had been late to the meeting but nobody had noticed, this terrible mistake had cost us our best hit man.
