Cosmos

         One looks into the other's eyes. Noticing that the part of the eye visible to another is a circle within a circle is easy. Next comes the realization that each circle is distinguished by its own unique characteristics: colour, size, pattern. Then the eyes flicker. The circles move upon an orb. As these orbs face each other, like great planets aligned in orbit, each relaying their spirit to the other, a deep penetrating warmth is felt by each being. The moment passes. One averts their eyes and looks to the sky, the sun superimposed upon it. The other's eyes gravitate to one thing only.
