One Puff

And I am at peace.
Restructure,
Reorder,
Revaluate,
The world around me.

I need no one
And no one needs me

Looking out the window,
The trees
Flutter their leaves carelessly
Creating subtle chaotic patterns
Dancing onto my wall
For my idle amusement

Life becomes
One hundred times more intense:
The static hates me
I can feel it
Burning
Vibrating
Destroying me

Thoughts drift outside these walls:
Who are they to invade my privacy?
I don't want
This
Intimacy!
But I have to contemplate the dichotomy

For I need their touch
Words and glances
But not now.

Alone I suffer
no loss for  company
in this clear headed haze

Distracting thoughts leave me
Alone with my dangerous questions

And I know
If I had not made this choice
I would have been part of this brainwash
