Four poems, written long ago, recaptured from ink to screen.
Silent, Blonde

Silent, blonde
betrayed by roots
Slender nose
bridges the gap
between uncertainty of eyes
and the spreading epistle
at arm's length.

Mouth sucked
into a huddled pout
sometimes swallowed
or tasted
by the flicker
of a tongue that
sometimes spoke
sometimes slashed
and licked wounds
to savour pain.

Symmetry in Demi-Lotus

Leg posed
angled on the half-knee
pen poised
stilled while eyes see
scanning hollows
in faces
avoiding the full.

Tentative Post-Childhood

Clenched
warding passers
clinging
her lower lip
sensuous
pendulous.

Lashes flicked
flash avoidance.

Forefinger trace
a pulse
in her neck
a delicate confirmation
of continuance.

Hand Scuffed

Fingers interlock
easy on old grooves
Feet firm
rooted.

Knees bent
as a pedestal
for elbow architecture

Eyes glare
plate glass windows
black rimmed
denying doubt.
