A poetic lyrical piece I wrote, making it a song. It's about turning your life around.
You’ll be okay one day
You’re the one that’ll decide when
You can crawl away
Stop hitting walls and drag your skin
Keep chasing the uncatchable
And reaching for the illusions
Pry to hold the dilutions
Your eye can see what your mind grasps
Ignore those trash-talkers and keep your grin
You’re the one that’s got these lashings of sin
So come on now, almost there, snag your lifeline, and give a cheer
You’ll be here sooner or later
Exactly where your mind knows you’re greater

Your throat better be horse
Your body beaten and weak
Eyes strained
Brain like rotten cheese
Finger nails tattered
Shoes long beyond battered
Face shining disaster
Emotions intertwined like spaghetti on platter
Only, once you’ve experienced these have you given your all to get off that damn wall

I’ll watch while you push the pressure off
And begin to talk of possibility
First show me you can walk without disability
Now you may be hurt but your life’s a trough
High to low let’s start to rise against this flow
Time for you to grow
Put in the energy to see you glow
Your bodies like snow
Cold but you got to look closer
The designs show your ability of greater composure
Too bad that this isn’t happening
You know, me helping you
Because I don’t plan on tapping in
Let’s see what you can do
See if any of this shit I’ve said
Has even begun to break into your head

Look you’ve made a hill
Can you make a mountain until you finally just pop the pill?
Or will you energize your graph of failure?
Make it a story to tell when you’re an elder
Maybe help someone see you can always make a trough
No matter how far you’ve fallen off
The rest is up to you
So I hope you understand what just came out of my throat
I’m turning and grabbing my tote
Here let me leave you with this inspiring note

Your throat better be horse
Your body beaten and weak
Eyes strained
Brain like rotten cheese
Finger nails tattered
Shoes long beyond battered
Face shining disaster
Emotions intertwined like spaghetti on platter
Only, once you’ve experienced these have you given your all to get off that damn wall
