This poem is dedicated to my father in heaven and my best friend Heather.
The goblet of blood had been spilled,
And the temptation bled,
I tied it around my neck to think I’m just a waste of space.
But I heard his name through your careful words.
To seep beneath this donjon and make me realize the eternal victim.
His majesty shines through you to brighten my blinded eyes,
So that one day I can live with his light.
The hope given that once was lost will always be above my heart,
So that the false words will never become my own fate.
There is a purpose beneath this shadow.
Lord, I seek and I shall see.
