a short poem on repentance (new and improved)
Dear Jehovah, I humbly pray,
on bowed knees, I lowly prostrate,
my heart, my mind for your glorious view,
To search my actions through and through,

And to please take it all away.

Take away all the tears and pain,
And the sorrow that slowly drains,
my life, from all the badness I've done,
and the countless wrong paths that I've always chosen,

And for your wisdom.

To fight the desires that brings sweet delight,
And run from the lovers who encourage my plights,
Oh why do I avoid the love of a praying mother,
Only to follow the dark and desperate ways of my father,

So I beg for your intervention.

How can I ask, but I must,
Cause faith is not a crust,
So, I must work hard, even if it is in vain,
And hope that your love, I can surely regain,

Because God is Love.

Never can it be compared, your love,
A calm ceiling, protecting above,
That shows and brightly lights my way,
Please, please, please Jehovah, don't take that away.
