The Fairytales of my life: Snow White, Cinderella and Beauty & The Beast. |
I dreamt of fairytales Ever since I was young But as I grew up in this world Reality stung And then you came along To sweep me off my feet And suddenly Fairytales became reality Just like in the classics I was poisoned with a past And yet with just a gentle kiss You taught me how to trust You killed them one by one The bad apples that I took And now look! My skin may not be white as snow But the happiness with you Gave me quite a glow! I may not be in rags Nor have evil stepmothers I tried in vain to get glass slippers So I splurged instead on Mac Romance was too surreal I aimed instead for materials But you showed me how to feel A love that’s pure and true Now I know that romance can be real Just as long as I have you I guess I could be quite a beast Yet you stayed throughout the ride On my emotional rollercoaster Of sarcasm and snide You’ve emerged the true beauty In our fairytale land And I guess I’m just lucky You chose to take my hand Now I close my fairytale storybooks With a smile on my chubby face I’d never imagined that eventually I would Find my prince, in this harsh and cruel place And I bet that even if I made a wish To famous fairy godmother She could never in her power Give me someone as perfect as you |
