a poem of despair and resolve |
| In the dark It is dark in a place of fear Filled with gloomy despair Seems all is wearing an unholy glare You feel there is no chance There is no hope With this does your spirit tear To you, goes all wear and tear To your heart is naught but fear Crushed is all semblance of hope You sink into a deep despair You are pushed by winds of chance As all around laughs with an evil glare And through all the glare Do your friends bring worst tear That they work against your only chance You shrink in even worse fear Worse than any despair As you lose all glimmers of hope But there is hope Just past the sinister glare Enough to conquer any despair Enough to mend any tear Enough to dispel any fear It is your only chance Through the dim is your best chance There is victory in hope Leaves you, your fear Unnoticed goes the glare Grown strong you, at the tear Deserts you your despair Conquered you despair You took your chance Mended is your tear Through what comes though hope Gotten past have you, the glare There is no fear |
