The cool air rustled the leaves overhead,
Frogs sang songs from their garden bed.
The hooting of owls and the twitting of bats,
The howl of a lone dog, the yowling of cats.
Crickets chirping high notes of their song,
Clouds move soft fingers along
Brilliant notes of stars and moon
To the beat of a celestial tune.
A donkey's bray,the rustle of grass
As some timid night animal hustles to pass.
Moonlight danced with waves crashing to shore
Then roll back again to dance some more.
Tired bodies rustled the linen sheets
Caressed by the blanket of slumber sweet-
To dream of a new night's melody
And breathed in time with the harmony.
