Sounds of silence


A shadow's fall,
A butterfly's call,
An opening flower,
Passing of the hour.
Laughter of sunlight,
Footsteps of night,
The echoes of sunrise,
A rainbow's surprise.
Music of the dew,
Rich sunset hue.
The touch of the white mist,
The green grass sun-kiss'd,
The warmth of a smile,
Innocence of a child.
Chorus of the starlight
from the sky at night.
The lightning's flash,
The white clouds' clash,
Leaves crashing to the ground;
Are nature's silent sounds.
