Water brings life... in more ways than one |
Slowly the sphere reaches the end of its journey. Glistening with the reflection of the sun it drops to the dark brown earth concluding a trip of many a mile. Next to the resting place of the sphere a bright green stem dressed in scarlet petals reaches skywards appreciative of the much needed moisture. Black and yellow lines disrupt thankful poses with beating wings conveying sweet loads to new destinations. Slowly feathered flyers exit from their concealments with cheerful chirps, taking to the air as if it was the first time. On a garden chair fur is being groomed into place with skill and grace occasionally paused by a big yawn. All around a scent of freshness dazzles the nasal senses. Touch is greeted by cool, moist comfort. Eyes light up as colors burn brighter, clearer and more vivid. Slowly out of a peaceful slumber eyes colored by the clear blue sky opens. Unsure of the surroundings hands move across soft satin sheets to find a possible escape from their grasp. Feet reluctantly shuffle to the floor and find themselves dragging across the floor to a misty location. The hands reach up, feet brace the floor, eyes squint in anticipation. Slowly the world outside enters. The eyes wish they could utter words to discourage the hands from continuing in their actions. First one, then the other, the sky colored orbs accepts the outside world. The feet start feel the energy gained from the outside world entering the dark unknown. The dark unknown also seems more familiar now with the addition of colors. The feet find the dragging has subsided only to be replaced by swift easy movements. The eyes catch a glimpse of the satin jail of the dark unknown and there in the satin jail lays contentment, peacefulness and love. Small dark brown orbs open, hands reaches out from under the satin walls stretching out freeing themselves from the confinement. The blue eyes stare, refusing to blink because the fear of losing the picture before them is too great. The satin jail gave way to a flower not planted in soil, but deeply rooted in a heart. A Heart filled with love for this flower beyond a measure. - Ermacion |
