I stood in stunned wonderment as the dragon
perched itself on her shoulder,
She soothed it's furious rage, then beckoned for
me to stroke it's golden body.
It was burning hot and eyed me with little interest,
She said enough, slapped my hand away and the
dragon disappeared into the night.
I was paralised with a desire to speak with her,
There was a dare in her eyes that was merciless.
So I stood there silently, then looked down,
My gaze lifted to see her walking away.
The dragon lady was gone leaving me to
worship her passing.
