Love it or hate it: it has passion |
| Classical music is one of those polarising things in life – you either love it or hate it. There is no middle road, if we’re truly honest. Even those who “don’t mind” it, in truth, hate it; they just don’t want to be seen as a Phillistine! It has the capacity to soothe ones ills and transport us to idyllic tranquillity one minute and draw a jagged wound across our senses in the next. One minute you can be in a meadow, the next on a battlefield. Love the classics and you open yourself to pure emotion and energy. Some purport that classical music is nothing more than random notes and people clinging to an age long past. Others claim it’s invigorating passion, being drawn into the emotion generated by composers of the centuries. Love it or hate it – there’s no denying it’s power to fuel the continuing argument, that will continue for as long as the music plays! 158 words |
