I wandered alone in the lonely road,
Full of trees and sod, so broad.
Far and wide I could well sense
My yearning turning so intense.
My dreams grown so much lustful,
I felt I’d walk as much as able,
To get to the land of my own,
Of which I think while alone.
I cannot describe to you
This land which had all my dreams;
You wouldn’t believe it to be true.
Each step I took could lead me
To the dreamland calling out to me,
Speaking my name with passion.
As I kept on treading on,
The scenery vanished under the sun;
Lost in a lonely road I was.
Back to the alien dismal road,
I wept as I laid and wallowed
In misery there, in the dust,
I had given up my lust.
But no! my dream was not gone,
I could sense it all alone.
It told me not to let go
Of every effort I made to know
And find the pathway to my aim.
Fain I closed my eyes and tried
A brand new start in my mind,
A brand new way to break the spell,
Even if by going through Hell.
I went to a deep slumber,
Still thinking to myself and wonder,
“Is there even such a place?”
