she couldnt make the choice...
There she stood in the middle,
Head turning left and then right,
The rain close to falling down,
The thunder seconds away.

On the left there was a short road,
Many trees and branches in the way,
Not a lot of light shining through,
The journey would be rough but brief.

On the right there was a long road,
Few trees and everything visible,
Except for the dark passage on the end,
The journey would be passive but long.

The decision impossible to make,
What was good for one of them,
Was always bad for the other one,
Time ticking and rain coming.

A few drops of water started to fall,
Soon the light was completely gone,
The thunder roaring in her ears,
One look up and the sky fell down.

The girl could not make the choice,
If I go left I’ll get scratched by trees,
If I go right I’ll get sick from the rain,
The girl kept thinking and thinking.

She thought about it too much,
The rain and thunder fell harder,
The mud around her feet thicker,
Then the cold surrounded her.

It was too late to go left or right,
It was too late to turn back too,
By the time she made her choice,
The roads where already gone.

The rain and thunder and mud,
They took the choices away,
Left her stranded in the middle,
Cold and dirty and wet and alone.
