Victory
=================================================
Everyone said he couldn't do it; the feat was just too great.
The task was beyond his scope, and he started way too late.
He strove to meet his goal, but he was ridiculed and mocked,
Was he wasting years of his life, he knew they'd be shocked.
Strong willed was he, so he refused to heed what they said.
Twas a matter of determination, he knew it was all in the head.
They said he'd be a failure and realize some things can't be done.
But if he had only one battle to win, this would surely be the one.
A mountain to be moved by shovel, a sea to be emptied by pale,
an anvil to be crushed by mallet, but he knew he wouldn't fail.
It was the hardest thing to head into, but he would have success,
for he knew that failure only comes with anything but your best.
This confidence helped him pursue it, in the end the triumph was his,
He overtook an awe-inpiring task and proved what true victory is.




Where Are We Going (Otherwise Known As Lost Innocence)

Where are we going, when will it end,
the needless slaying of innocent men.
A shot is fired, a man is dead,
the tear-filled eyes of a child turn red.
Hates boils within him, anger turns to rage,
he's now a soldier, no longer a sage.
The child pulls the trigger, another man goes down,
another lonely orphan wearing only a frown.
He too turns soldier, his honor to defend,
Where are we going, when will it end?




It Happened To Me

A peculiar thing happens each spring
as nature starts it's blooming.
Boy falls for girl, chipmonk for squirrel
and little hearts start zooming.

They stay together through all weather,
and upon each other they relie.
When they're far away, just for a day,
their eyes begin to cry.

A funny thing that people should sing
of love for an eternity.
Falling in love is for the doves
and yet, it happened to me.
