Swept along in life's currents (Form: Trijan Refrain} |
White Water Life The roar of water beckons me – excitement lies ahead. I focus all my energy with no time left for dread. My muscles strain to right the boat, to steer my course, to stay afloat. My muscles strain. My muscles strain against the current and the pain. The roar of water beckons me – I don’t fear the unknown. I join the rush in harmony. I know I’m not alone. The challenges I face each day place faith and courage on display. The challenges. The challenges aren’t black or white but shades of gray. The roar of water beckons me – its song a soulful tune. It recalls a lifetime’s symphony among the boulders strewn. I’m swept along within the song with certainty that I belong. I’m swept along. I’m swept along in currents fast but I am strong.
