Blend of Pen and Paper

It starts with pen and paper
The two go together like Romeo and Juliet
When the ink and paper meet
It's like a magic act
Time speeds, as do the thoughts
Ideas blow through my mind like a hurricane
Rows of straight scribbled lines are created
The ink shimmers like the gentle ocean waves
A masterpiece forms without hesitation
My pen is like a musician's instrument
My words appear from no where
Like the image on a Polaroid picture
Then, just like that, it's complete
The romantic tragedy is applauded
The curtains close on the magic act
The fierce clouds of the hurricane vanish to nothing
The ocean is motionless and calm
The instrument plays it's last song
And the Polaroid image is developed
It happened oh so fast
Beginning with only a pen and paper
