What Mercy Ministries has done for me.

This is about my experience at Mercy Ministries, a program for young women bewteen the ages of 17 and 27, a christian based program that helps young people heal from life issues that have taken a toll on their lives. It is a 6 month commitment in which is a journey in which healing can take place as well as building new friendships. The staff are really great. There are several places in which one could get in at. There is a waiting list but some cases get in quicker than others, depending on the severity of them.
My journey began 2 years ago this past April. I graduated on October 16th 2007. The purpose of the program is to help girls heal, make new friends, and lead them to a closer walk with God. My journey was long, but as time went on, time flew by quickly. What Ive learned from being in the program is that God never leaves us, when we call on Him, he picks us up out of the ashes and delivers us from our weaknesses. My experience at Mercy has helped realize my need for God. Sometimes we drift away but God doesn't want us to go astray. It can be hard to stick by Him during difficult times. This is where I am at now though Mercy really did help me in the long run. Mercy helped me grow in different ways in which has helped me to become a better person. Without Mercy I don't know where I would be. My life issues are personal and so I don't want to share those. I have become a more patient person because there were times we had to learn to be patient, Mercy has give me the confidence to step out of my comfort zone, as well as learning the act of kindness. There are probably others and I could go on but I think I got my point across, hopefully. Hopefully someone will read this and see that there is help out there available. Once you reach out and step out of your comfort zone, you will grow in those experiences. To those who are struggling with life issues, Mercy Ministries is an answer to those who are willing to step out of their comfort zone, accept help, and make a commitment to the program. I have realized through the years that life doesn't always go the way we want or have turned out like we thought it would. God has plans for every person, its just a matter of stepping out and seeking Him for guidance. If anyone has any questions, just leave me a message on here.
