I wish I could write you something,
to make you smile,
make you laugh
and make you love life a little more

I wish I could write you something
you would read in the morning
for encouragement,
and in the night
for a lullaby

I wish I could write you something
so powerful
it would set your heart ablaze,
and so soothing
it would dry your tears

I wish I could write you something,
the words are out there,
in these keys,
