Best Friends

I walk with him, he runs with me

Together we are a pair

He with legs a little too short

And I who do not care



We share our day from dusk to dawn

We share the day till the sun goes down

Me the always worker

He the little clown



Never knew the joy

this little fellow would bring

14 lbs of puppy

and in every way a king.



There is nothing that  I do

that he is not right there

Every smile I have

a direct result of his flair.



It is good, no,its great!

to have this wonderful friend

Forever I'll be grateful

and know it will never end.
