Here are a few of my stories I have written for children over the years. Thanks to this great site I will continue to post more and one day may put them in a book for all children to read. We are all children at heart. We grow up and have children of our own, but when we read a story to our children, that child within us rushes back. Fond memories of when we were young and perhaps our mother or father spun a yarn or read our favorite book to us at bed time. In this folder you will find a story named "Grandpop and the Bear". It is a story that my father had made up to tell me back in 1955. Years later, I asked him where he got the story from. He had simply made it up and could not barely remember after so many years had pasted. So to him I dedicate this story. Over the years I told this same story at bedtime to my three daughters, almost every night. Sometimes I would finish and they would all say at the same time, "Tells us the story again Dad." So telling this story to all of you here brings back fond memories of my dad and my children, and of course being a kid again.
I hope you find some of these stories fun too and they carry you back to being a little child again. Feel free to print them out and read them to your children. I promise they will never forget you for it.
