This website overcomplicates things.
there’s a fire in my stomach

that’s burning into the stitches

and staples.

i think it’s a foundry in my stomach.

with men molding metal into

shapes.

i feel like throwing up, my mind

is spinning and is going to

crash into a telephone booth.

i shiver one more time, and the

sounds of music crawl into my brain.

a thought of you tries to crawl in

with it, so i take another sip of

this drink.

i set my goals and aspire

to not wake up in the morning,

remembering a damn thing of

what happened.

i never wanted to be a firefighter anyway.
