"What I Did Was Wrong."
A thousand needles through your tongue,
To say that what I did was wrong.
Woven threads around my heart;
They pull, constrict, and tear apart
The home that I had made.

And as that castle tumbles down,
I pluck the pieces from the ground.
I shed a tear, but no one comes
My tallest tower was never high,
The foundation always cracked.

But Oh! who would not have fallen
For sparkling eyes and smiles?
A practiced method- even now
To wile and beguile
The colors of those bricks.

But every light color has a dark brother
The sneers, barks, and lies.
Too bad I didn't see this sooner;
I could have stopped those cries.
That darkness in my foundation.

And as I slept upon my bed,
Not a care or doubt inside,
The gooey black from deep within
Covered my sleeping eyes.
It granted me a golden dream.

And at that time, my love had died.
My eyes are open now.
My knights and minstrels, they do ride.
I push those needles through, with pride.
"What i did was wrong."
