This poem was written for my ex girlfriend when she broke up with me.
Trains remind me of nothing
They remind me of everything
I’ll take a train to see you
I’ll take a train to the redwoods
I’ll take a train to the Dirts
I’ll take a train to the Farts
We’ve taken trains when we were well
We’ve taken trains when you were sick
Friends have taken trains to the end
Trains are for families
Trains are solitary
Trains remind me of nothing
I want to be on a train
And when I get off you’re there
You’re waiting arms open
Eyes open
Heart open
When I get there I’ll be alone
I’ll always be alone without you
Trains remind me of nothing
