Ninjo and Ninju were making final preparations to shove off for sea, but just as they are about to leave they here a shout and notice a white female Yoshi rushing towards them with a human on her tail. Ninju raised his bow, knocked an arrow, took aim, and fired. An arrow suddenly sprouted from between the human’s eyes killing him instantly. The white yoshi had caught up then out of breath she gasped,” Thank you for your help I am Mareth.” The camo yoshi Ninju replied,” You are welcome Mareth I am Ninju a skilled archer.” Then the black yoshi Ninjo said,” I am Ninjo a skilled swordsman and skilled in elemental magic.” Mareth still out of breath said, “I will give anyone a ride around the island if they can give an explanation on why the humans are attacked us.” Then Ninju answered,” the humans are attacked us because they see us as a threat and they want our island for themselves. You owe me a ride when I get back.” “Can I come?” asked Mareth. “Sure answered Ninjo but first what are you capable of?” “I use this staff as a weapon and I am a renound healer. By the way where are we going?” “We are going to attack the humans but first we must meet up with a group called the Yoshi squad” “How long at sea? This time Ninju replied, “A week if the weather’s good.” “Fair enough.” Then Mareth hopped on board,” If you want I’ll do the cooking” “I’m fine with that” responded Ninjo “The food is in the hold” Mareth disappeared into the kitchen. “Well Ninju we got another.” said Ninjo. “Indeed we do now let’s set sail.” Ninjo and Ninju begin preparing to set sail. That night Ninjo smelled Mareth’s cooking “wow that smells good, hey Mareth what’s cooking” “you’ll find out” Mareth walked out on deck with a platter of food. “And what manner of food do we have here” asked Ninju. “Well I made some seasoned salmon, a turnip leek soup, and some brandy” Ninjo talking through a mouthful said “wo dis s gud” “I’m glad you like It.” said Mareth. Ninjo wiped his mouth went up lashed the tiller and said,” I’m going to sleep now, night” ‘we all should get some sleep,” agreed Ninju. Ninju went below decks and fell asleep in his hammock. The week continues in this manner until Ninjo shouted,” Land Ho!” “Where?” asked Mareth. Ninjo pointed to a rapidly approaching strip of land “wait a second,” said Ninjo. Suddenly Ninjo shouted,” Ninju we’re going to fast we need to slow err down or we’ll crash against those rocks! Unfurl the sails open the ports do something.” Ninjo and Ninju begin working franticly to slow down the ship. Mareth shouted,” It’s no use we’re going to crash, brace yourselves!” The ship rammed forcefully into a bunch of big rocks throwing them like ragdolls onto the shore. Ninjo then faintly said,” No I’m not going down like this.” But Ninjo faded into unconsciousness. Ninjo slowly woke up and noticed he was in a tent, when Ninjo hears faint voices,” Who… Who’s there?” “Do not worry you are with friends” “where are Ninju and Mareth?” “Do not worry they are fine they are strong and not willing to die.” Then Ninjo fades back into unconsciousness. This time Ninjo wakes and is able to sit up. Ninjo shook his head “I can’t believe that happened.” A green yoshi walked into the room “ahh you’re awake Ninjo, you were almost gone for a second.” “Wait you’re Yoshi Yosh.” “The one and only” “the leader of the yoshi squad?” “Yep” “I’m fine now you can leave me.” “Very well Ninjo” Yoshi Yosh steps out of the tent. How long was I out now? I’m going to find Mareth and Ninju. Ninjo stepped out of the tent and sees Yoshi’s of every color like a living rainbow with tents just as magnificent. Ninjo stopped a passing light blue Yoshi “where is Mareth and Ninju,” asked Ninjo “over there” the Yoshi pointed toward two tents one camo and one white. “Thanks” Ninjo began walking to the tents opening the camo one and inside is Ninju polishing his bow. “Hello Ninjo,” said Ninju. “Ahh Ninju it’s good to see you alive. Let’s greet Mareth.” “Very well” replied Ninju. They exit the tent and enter the white one. Inside they found Mareth crushing and stirring herbs in a bowl. “Hello Ninjo and Ninju I’m just making some medicine.” “That’s quite the skill,” said Ninjo “well we’re marching at dawn so get ready,” said Ninju. “Alright” said Ninjo. Ninjo and Ninju walked out of the tent. The next morning all the Yoshi’s we’re up and fully armed with Yoshi Yosh at the head shouting, “today we battle for our land, for our families, and for our honor, now march.” All the Yoshi’s began marching and at midday they reach the human army. “Charge” Shouts Yoshi Yosh. All the Yoshi’s charged in a headlong rush and meet the human army. Ninjo is at the front decimating the ranks of the humans. All Ninjo could hear were the sounds of battle. Steel upon steel, people dying all around, arrows whizzing through the air, and the sound of his magic destroying all... Ninju was in the middle shooting arrow upon arrow striking people down until he ran out of arrows so he slung his bow on his back grabbed a sword from a fallen Yoshi and joined Ninjo. Mareth was in the back healing the wounded that were brought to her. Up with Ninjo Ninju was fighting when he received a nasty wound on his shoulder. Ninjo jumped in front of Ninju “Get back to Mareth,” Ninjo shouted. Ninju then began heading back to Mareth when he was struck in the back by an arrow. “Ninju!” shouted Ninjo Some medic Yoshi’s arrived and carried Ninju to Mareth. “Oh no” said Mareth looking at Ninju she began removing the arrow. Up at the front Ninjo was fighting like a mad man killing left and right. Ninjo was still swinging when he noticed all the humans were dead. Ninjo rushed back and saw Mareth over Ninju. “How is he” asked Ninjo “he’s dead” said Mareth blatantly. “No he’s got to alive” “I’m sorry Ninjo he’s gone”. Ninjo picked up the limp form of Ninju carried him a distance, dug a hole, and buried him. Ninjo returned and declared “I’ve thought about it and war doesn’t determine who is right only who is left. But we have more wars to fight so let’s not let this death slow us down. Tomorrow I am leaving, Mareth you may come with me.” “Where will we go?” “That’s secret.” “Ok I’ll come.” Ninjo walked into his tent and thought,” How could Ninju die like that? I will make sure to avenge his death. All of the humans shall die for what they’ve done. Mareth walks in interrupting Ninjo’s thoughts, “I am very sorry for you.” “Don’t be sorry it wasn’t your fault.” “When are we going to leave?” “As soon as you’re ready,” finished Ninjo. Mareth walked out of the tent to gather her things. When Mareth left Ninjo began thinking again I’m glad Mareth is coming it’ll be nice to have some company while traveling, plus I can practice my magic. Yoshi Yosh walked in and says,” I heard you are leaving.” “Yes I am now please leave me in peace.” “As you wish.” Yoshi Yosh walks out of the tent as Mareth walked in. “I am ready to go,” she said. Ninjo replied,” Alright let’s go then.” Ninjo and Mareth walk out of the tent and when they step out. Two lines of all the Yoshi’s and they were cheering them with Yoshi Yosh at the end,” Ninjo I present you with these two blades thunder and lightning. They can conduct your elemental magic.” Yoshi Yosh pulled out a pair of purple swords and handed them to Ninjo. “Thank you Yoshi Yosh,” replies Ninjo. “And to you Mareth I present you with this staff. This staff has healing properties it will heal but after you use it you must let it recharge” Yoshi Yosh pulled out a silver staff and handed it to Mareth. “I also thank you Yoshi Yosh,” thanked Mareth. Then all the Yoshi’s erupted in a deafening cheer. When the Yoshi’s calmed down Ninjo said, “I thank you again Yoshi Yosh.” Ninjo sheathed the blades he was given. “Now if you will let us we will be on our way.” “Of course Ninjo you may leave.” Yoshi Yosh steps out of the way and the Yoshi’s began cheering as Ninjo and Mareth began walking off towards the horizon. It was then that Mareth asked, “Now can you tell me where we are going?” “We are going to a yoshi village on Dragon Mountain,” answered Ninjo. “There you can and most likely will learn healing magic.” “Ok Ninjo thanks for clearing that up.” Ninjo stopped, “Let’s make camp.” Ninjo lights a fire using magic while Mareth brought out the tents. The journey continued in this manner until they reached the base of the mountain. “Well we’re here,” asserted Ninjo. “Let’s get climbing then.” Ninjo and Mareth began climbing the mountain. Later in the day the village came into view when they notice a female yellow yoshi walking towards them. “Hey Ninjo,” called the yellow yoshi, “Haven’t seen you in quite some time.” Mareth noticed the yoshi seems to be glowing. Ninjo replies, “Hello Shine.” Ninjo and Shine embraced. Ninjo turns to Mareth “this is Shine the yoshi of light.” “Nice to meet you,” greeted Mareth. “Same here,” said Shine. Have you been practicing your magic Ninjo,” asks Shine. Ninjo responded, “Not as much as I would like to but otherwise yes. Come on I’m eager to head into the village.” Ninjo, Mareth, and Shine headed off into the village. When they reached the village the yoshi’s stared in stunned silence at Ninjo, while Mareth was looking around curiously and wondering why all the yoshi’s were silent. The three yoshi’s arrived at Shine’s house. Then blatantly Ninjo told Mareth, “Shine is my twin sister. She is the yoshi of light I am the yoshi of darkness, see look.” Ninjo created a black flame in his hand while Shine’s flame was a golden color. “Wow Ninjo I never thought you were the yoshi of darkness,” Said a surprised Mareth. “Now that you know,” continued Shine “Ninjo and I have some catching up to do.” Ninjo pushed some coins into Mareth’s hand, “spend these however you like,” whispered Ninjo. Ninjo and Shine walked out of the house leaving a surprised Mareth behind. Mareth walks out of the house and began examining the various shops, until she comes across an herbs and medicines shop. Mareth walked in and a shopkeeper is behind the counter. “Hello,” started Mareth “I’m looking to buy some herbs.” “What kind of herbs are you looking for?” “I’m looking for some of the harder to find ones.” “Ahhh of course.” The clerk disappeared for a moment, and then reappeared with a basket of herbs. Mareth toke the basket and pays the clerk. Mareth noticing she has a little extra money decided to get some sweets.

After walking out of the house Ninjo and Shine walk into a nearby tavern, and sat at a table. “Well Shine,” began Ninjo, “It’s been a long time and to get to the point I want you to travel with me and Mareth.” “Of course I will travel with you Ninjo. I’ve been waiting for you to ask.” “Ok then we know what we are doing then. First we gather some yoshi’s.” Ninjo and Shine got up and walked back to Shine’s house to find Mareth sitting on the couch enjoying some sweets. Ninjo takes a quick nap and when he gets up he walked outside and shouted, “Ok who wants to come and fight with me?”
